PhD-Net Police Science: Theory, Methodology and Practice. Summer Schools 2009 and 2010 organised by Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany (Professor Dr. Thomas Feltes) and the University of Cape Town, Cape Town, South Africa (Professor Dr. Clifford Shearing) with financial support by the German Academic Exchange Ser-vice (DAAD) The first Summer School to prepare the PhD-Net will be held 23 August 2009 – 4 September 2009 in Muenster. The organizers invite submissions of applications. Please send curriculum vitae with photo, letter of intent, letter of recommendation and abstract of proposed PhD-thesis by 30.04.2009. The German applicant must fulfil the requirements of the respective PhD-regulations of either the Faculty of Law in Bochum or the Faculty of Social Sciences in Bochum (www.rub.de). Selected applicants will be supported by the German Academic Exchange Council (DAAD) regarding travel expenses from South Africa to Germany (Summerschool 2009) and from Germany to South Africa (Summerschool 2010) plus accommodation and subsistence.
